Overview & workshop context

This poster was created as part of a workshop focused on learning how to use Glyphs software for custom typography design. The goal was to engage directly with type creation, not simply applying existing fonts, but producing letterforms that are expressive, meaningful, and rooted in context.

Process & typographic experimentation

Using Glyphs, I began by sketching the core letterforms by hand, focusing on rhythm, weight, and personality. Once the sketches were digitized, I refined each shape inside Glyphs, adjusting curves, spacing, and rhythm to balance aesthetic intent with readability.

The final type was then composed into a poster that plays with scale, contrast, and negative space. By emphasizing dynamic interactions between the forms, the design highlights both the expressive potential of custom type and the meaning behind the name itself.
